PPG first entered Australia in their own right when in 1998 they bought the industrial business of Dulux Paints, including the manufacturing plant and laboratories in Clayton, Melbourne.  PPG Industries Australia are now the largest supplier of automotive finishes to GMH, Ford, Mitsubishi and Toyota in Australia and have market leading positions in the supply of coil coatings to Lysaght Colorbond as well as being the leading supplier of refinish coatings to the smash repair market.

Port Adelaide, SA
ABB Grain Limited, in conjunction with the South Australian Government and Flinders Ports, are developing a deep sea port at Outer Harbour, capable of receiving Panamax-class vessels.
The company is investing approximately 75 million dollars in developing the Pelican Point New Grain Terminal.
